Family Day at KSC
Saturday was Family Day at KSC, an open house which allows employees and their families to do and see things that are not normally open to regular visitor. An unusual occurrence was that there was 1 shuttle on each pad, which will never happen again. We visited the Orbiter Processing Facility and Mason was able to hold a heat tile. He saw an engine up close at the Shuttle Main Engine Facility and visited the Landing Facility too. But in the end all Mason cared about was sitting at daddies desk!

Happy 11th Anniverary to us!
Anniversary Gifts, Modern; 11 Year - Fashion Jewelry
Anniversary Gifts, Traditional; 11 Year - Steel
We went the traditional route this year and bought a new grill!
Anyways...eleven years later, one fabulous little boy, 9 moves that started in FL sent us to CT and back to FL again and we are still very much in love! Our marriage is a testament to how great marriage can be when a couple allows God to be the center of everything. Here is to another 11 years of joy together!

Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station
The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse (175ft) in Florida and the second tallest lighthouse in the nation. (Cape Hatteras comes in at 208ft). Today was Homeschool Day and I dragged my buns of steel, oops I mean peel, up the whole 175ft but it was so worth the effort, there was the most lovely breeze and the view was spectacular!
Besides the workout Mason enjoyed gardening 1860's style, (not that it has changed much in the past 150 years), sewing, laundry and the cleaning of a kerosene chimney. There were several restored Fresnel lenses in one of the exhibit buildings that were just amazing. Did you know that before transporting they take them apart and then put them back together again? One of the lenses took 3 years to reassemble!
