Space Shuttle Atlantis

While I stayed home and enjoyed the Atlantis rumble from a comfortable chair, the boys headed on over to Cocoa Beach to watch and and catch a few waves.

That's not all they caught, this little ghost crab was hiding under their towels!

Unusual to see a ghost crab during the day, they tend to be an evening sight.

Taking Our Show on the Road!

Kids Klub raps up the production of Simon Says! with a pretty fun cast party complete with a yummy cake that has all 29 cast member names on it. And then they take the show on the road to one of the local nursing homes where they get another chance to perform onstage a number of songs from the show.

Simon Says!

Tonight was the final performance of Simon Says! The Rockin Trial Of Simon Peter. Mason played the role of Simon Peter who is on trial for spreading the word that Jesus is the Son of God. He was sooo happy to be in handcuffs for the opening scene as he didn't have to do the choreographed movements along with the rest of the cast and only had to sing!

Excavation surprise!

Mason used some empty egg shells for seed starters and his sunflowers are a sprouting and it's time to transplant them. When he went to prepare some holes for planting, surprise, he found a skull & other assorted bones, we think squirrel?

Family Day at KSC

Saturday was Family Day at KSC, an open house which allows employees and their families to do and see things that are not normally open to regular visitor. An unusual occurrence was that there was 1 shuttle on each pad, which will never happen again. We visited the Orbiter Processing Facility and Mason was able to hold a heat tile. He saw an engine up close at the Shuttle Main Engine Facility and visited the Landing Facility too. But in the end all Mason cared about was sitting at daddies desk!

It's a little Jerry!

Not too shabby for the first time holding a guitar!
